Patient Testimonials

Md. Rifat, RTI Victim

“I worked overtime till 8 pm that evening. While on my way back, I was hit by a private car on the Meghna Bridge slope, along the Chittagong highway, east of Jamaldi station. I was left injured and bleeding on the road, unable to speak. Suddenly, 4-5 individuals approached me and identified themselves as volunteers of TraumaLink. They assured me that they were there to help and that I need not be afraid. They were wearing vests, and one of them mentioned that they were volunteers of the TraumaLink.”

They asked me some questions, but I could not answer; I simply shook my head. I was bleeding profusely, and I saw them bring out small boxes containing equipment to treat me. They cleaned and wiped my wounds, and provided me with the immediate medical care that I needed. Their identity gave me a lot of courage, and I felt grateful for their service, but I was not in a position to express my gratitude at that time.

They then took me to Bhaberchar Hospital, admitted me there, and called my parents and wife. I cannot express enough how much their service meant to me. If I could speak at that time, I would have thanked them profusely, but I was too injured to do so.

Md. Selim, RTI Victim

“I am Md. Salim. I am an auto driver by profession. I don't even go to a tea shop and drink tea. At that time, I was about to cross the road without having tea when a private car came from some distance, hit me, and threw me far away. After some time, I saw some brothers stand in front of me and say they were volunteers of TraumaLink. At that time, they treated me took me to the hospital, and admitted me to the hospital.

At that time some angelic people came forward and I survived and I was able to return to my family. I am grateful to the TraumaLink.

Volunteer Testimonials

Mohammad Abdul Hay, Volunteer First Responder

“My name is Mohammad Abdul Hay. I have trained in first aid from TraumaLink. After training, we get to the people injured in road crashes, rescue them from the accident site, and provide first aid. The local people in and around our area are very happy with us, that we do this service work. I specifically request the TraumaLink. They should start this program nationwide. As a result, the rate of road crashes and the risk of death will gradually decrease in our country.”

Mohammad Khokon Mia, Volunteer First Responder

“I am Mohammad Khokon Mia. I am a volunteer at TraumaLink. Since I joined this organization, if there is a road crash, I rush to the scene when I hear the news. After getting training from this institution, we became interested in working alongside road crash victims. After receiving the service, the patients give us a lot of prayer.”

Md Rahmat Ali, Volunteer First Responder

“I am Md Rahmat Ali. As I did not know the first aid training before, I could not stand by people who had been injured in road crashes. I could only see them but could not do anything. Now I can provide first aid to road crash victims after taking this training. It feels good to me that I can serve wounded people. If TraumaLink implements this first aid training across the country, the people injured in road crashes will benefit a lot and many new volunteers will be created.”
